Indiana Geological and Water Survey headquarters is in the east end of the IU-owned building at 5001 N. State Road 37 Business in Bloomington, Ind. Our laboratories are located in the east wing of the IU Geology Building at 1001 E. 10th Street. The Survey also occupies several buildings on and off the IU Bloomington campus that are available for research and tours upon request.
As a public trust research institution, the IGWS maintains the state repository for paper and digital geological records and rock, mineral, soil, and other geologic samples that contribute to research, teaching, and outreach efforts. Please email us to schedule a visit.
